Justin, my often effervescent and always Australian roommate at the TOMS Mahal, came stateside and taught me a few things on the slackline.  Nearly every Sunday, we found ourselves at Venice Beach walking the line and meeting friendly souls from around the globe.

I made this movie with my friend Jason Eppink.  He was the director and I was the cinematographer and editor.  Jason lives in New York and is the most ingenious man that I know.  Honest.  Also, this movie was nominated for an Academy Award in the student film section.

Save Cal Grants

Sometimes the government wants to do silly things like cut education spending.  And sometimes you gotta make a video about it for people to watch.  On July 28, 2009, the revised state budget was signed and the Cal Grant funding was protected!

One Day Without Shoes

My good mate Justin and I walked to work without the ole' shoes.  Yeah, that's 10 miles.. barefoot.  We performed this unusual act to raise awareness for the children around the world who don't have shoes.... and to sell shoes too, i guess, because I work for a company that sells shoes.

TOMS Vagabonds - Season 2

As of April 24, I've edited 40 episodes of the TOMS Vagabonds, Season 2.  The opening sequence was animated using construction paper and 900 still images. The complete season is here.

TOMS + ELEMENT Collaboration Video

TOMS Shoes and Element Skateboards have collaborated to encourage kids to pick up a skateboard instead of guns or drugs.  For every skateboard purchased, one is given to a child in Durban, South Africa.  This video is both shot and edited by your friend Ryan.

One fun thing about the Salar De Uyuni salt flat in Bolivia is there is barely any natural perspective for the eye--there is a lot of opportunity for trick photography!
